This charming four star Granary flat for 2-5 people adjoins Penpentre Farmhouse in Llanfihangel-Nant-Bran, the heart of a rural community spread along the seven miles of the Bran valley. It is the ideal base for open air activities of all kinds and for exploring an unspoilt region of outstanding beauty just off the northern fringe of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Occupying the first floor and accessible by an exterior stone stairway, it is traditionally built, with exposed beams and was tastefully converted to it's present use a few years ago. The accommodation consists of a double and single bed in a spacious bedroom also a twin bedded room with wash basin. The open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room is well equipped with all modern facilities, including cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, small deep freeze and coffee maker. The sitting area has a comfortable leather sofa, two easy chairs, a T.V. with basic sky services, video recorder and radio/CD player. Bed linen, towels and heating are inclusive. There is a payphone 50 yards from the flat, an enclosed garden with children's playhouse, barbecue, table and chairs, a car park and an area for bicycle storage and clothes drying. |

If you have an equine friend, stabling and sand turn-out are available at an extra charge but other pets are not permitted. This is a non-smoking establishment. If you really want to relax, we offer Bed and Breakfast, packed lunches and even a four course evening meal by prior arrangement, please.

Directions: From Brecon take the A40 West, towards Llandovery. After passing through Llanspyddid (2miles), turn right at Aberbran (4 miles) over River Usk to a 'T' junction. Turn right for ½ mile, then sharp left, signposted 'Llanfihangel-Nant-Bran 4 miles'. Winding up the valley through the village of Soar, another 1 ½ miles and you will come into Llanfihangel-Nant-Bran. Turn at the first right, signed Gwarllan, Penpentre and The Granary and you have arrived in another world. |
